Lip Sync Battle Contest Entry Rules
The Ko Olina Children's Film & Music Festival is a family event, all songs & performances must be in good taste (i.e. no swearing or sexual references). The "Battle" is FREE to enter and open to all children ages 6 to 18 years old.
Submissions must be posted on Instagram by March 31st, 2016 and include the following tags: @KoOlinaKids AND #BattleatKoOlina (Instagram accounts must be public).
The contest is open to group performances in two age divisions (all members must be in the age group entered):
- 6-12 years
- 13-18 years
Due to the size of the stage, groups are limited to 10 members or less.
Entries will be judged on the following categories:
- Originality & creativity
- Energy & enthusiasm
- Choreography
- Appearance (costume, props, stage presence)
- Lip sync ability
The following will also be considered for selection:
- # of Instagram "likes"
- Community support
UP TO 10 ENTRIES WILL BE SELECTED TO APPEAR LIVE ON KO OLINA'S LAGOON STAGE ON OR BEFORE APRIL 10TH.
Chosen acts will battle for cool prizes and bragging rights. Selected groups will also:
- Submit a video clip of their full performance by April 20th.
- Provide an MP3 or MP4 file of edited music (there is no limit on the number of songs used during the performance).
- Limit performances to 5 minutes on stage (including set up and breakdown).
- Provide and wear appropriate attire during the entire performance.
